Hi, I’m Victoria.
Institute Of Belonging - Poetika - Instagram - Email
Semiotician by training, strategist by trade and people-person at heart, my work is about bringing people together. The idea of “quality of the connections” has been the guiding principle in my practice. I’m the founder of hito labs - a company exploring the future of community systems.
“Eventually everything connects - people, ideas, objects. The quality of the connections is the key to quality per se.” - Charles Eames
Whether it’s developing a new talent network for EY, designing new business models for IKEA, exploring the future of work with Virgin or curating for the V&A, my approach to building products and experiences is community-first.
My most recent poject is the Institute of Belonging - a newsletter and community designed for people who bring people together. Previously, I have been exploring the present (and future) of work in my award-winning podcast The Work We Do and was the London host of global event series CreativeMornings for seven years. I also occasionaly run an immersive poetry event called Poetika.
I host, curate and produce events frequently.
I have worked on projects focused on the future of work, talent, creativity, culture and innovation with brilliant clients including IKEA, Adidas, Virgin, the BBC, Techstars, Impossible, Jaguar Land Rover, EDF, EY, Microsoft Ventures and Hyper Island.
Communities, awards & giving back
Working with communities as my raw material, I am lucky to be part of many visionary networks. I’m a proud On Being and RSA Fellow and a Point People and Sandbox member - communities that support and nourish me daily.
I also like to give back whenever possible. I mentor at Techstars, Escape the City and Out Of Office Hours, advise Second Home and give lectures at the University of the Arts, London.
I am part of the judging panel for the incredible Lovie and Webby awards.
